Short answer; would I be writing this article if it were? No. While you’re likely to experience subtle redness and irritation afterwards, waxing your face actually removes the hair from the root – so it’ll take twice as long to grow back than it would by shaving. You may want to avoid using any products containing alcohol after as they can burn, so it’s recommended that you wash your face with water or a soothing cleanser and wait a little while before you apply the rest of your skincare.
