Gwen had brought her child to London where she and her bandmates promoted their new album Push and Shove.

The stunning mother-of-two discussed the difficulty of balancing her children with her career in the latest issue of Marie Claire.

'I would be up all night because my second baby didn't sleep, and he had a lot of ear infections,' Gwen told the magazine.

'Then I'd wake up in the morning and do my workout, which I always felt I had to do, and then meetings for my three clothing lines, and then hang out with my kids, take them to preschool, da-da-da.

'And then at 4 o'clock, I'd be like, "All right, I'm out of here, I'm going to go to the studio" and try to write a record. Sit on the couch [with bandmates Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young] and be like, "Let's do this now because I'm missing time with the kids; I could be having dinner with them and putting them to bed." It was really hard.'

Stefani, who recently celebrated her 10th wedding anniversary with Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, calls marriage her biggest accomplishment so far.

'Because it's hard, everyone knows it's hard,' Gwen admitted.

'[Marriage] is something that I always wanted to do successfully. It was a dream of mine. I like the official-ness and the family-ness of it all, having the same name and making decisions together.'

Last Friday, Gwen got Chinese food at Hakkasan in London's Mayfair neighbourhood with Gavin's daughter Daisy Lowe, whom he fathered with fashion designer Pearl Lowe.

Their marriage was rocked in 2004 when it came to light that unbeknownst to Gavin, he had a secret daughter from a previous relationship with Pearl.

Gavin had a five-year affair with former singer-songwriter Pearl before meeting Gwen, with Gavin believing for many years that Daisy was his god-daughter.

He and daughter Daisy are thought to have built a solid relationship in the years since the revelation and it appears that she and stepmother Gwen are now more than happy to hang out.

The gorgeous singer confessed to failing at something every day and lamented that 'Every day someone is suffering because I'm doing all these things.'

Gwen said she's learned to delegate some of her L.A.M.B. fashion line duties and even skipped the last two fashion weeks because she didn't want to 'miss the first week of kindergarten.'

'This last year I kind of stopped working out. I think my body just needed a break. And so I did that, and focused more on feeling good as opposed to beating myself up,' Stefani said.

The Rocksteady songstress and her band will headline six shows at Los Angeles' Gibson Amphitheatre happening November 24 to December 4.
