After Debunking Taylor Swift Sparks Myth, Nashville Artist Joins Aaron Rodgerson a Sunny Day
Are Aaron Rodgers and Taylor Swift dating? Well, it seems unlikely. However, the New York Jets quarterback is a big fan of Swift’s music. Recently, there was speculation about their relationship when they were seen together in some photos, both smiling. While Rodgers had already been in the public eye during his time with the Green Bay Packers, his move to the New York market as the Jets’ new QB and the ‘fanboy’ title has amplified that attention.
Rodgers openly admitted to being a Taylor Swift fan and even attended her concert at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. along with actor Miles Teller. During the concert, Rodgers was seen enjoying Swift’s performance, and he has previously revealed that his favorite Taylor Swift song is “August” from her album “Folklore.” Although the dating rumors with Swift have subsided, there is another person associated with Swift’s 2010 song who is currently a topic of discussion and interestingly, is also seen with the Jets’ new QB.
The “Made for You” and “….You Made Me Do” artists’ connection
Over the years, there have been rumors circulating that Taylor Swift’s hit song “Sparks Fly” was inspired by another Nashville artist. With the recent release of “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” the country singer in question acknowledged being aware of the theories among Swift’s devoted fans. Speculation arose when fans noticed that Swift mentioned “Portland, OR” in the liner notes of the song, potentially hinting at a past performance with the artist 17 years ago. Additionally, fans uncovered an old MySpace post from Swift where she recounted opening for the singer at a Portland bar in 2006 and mentioned that he was a fan of her music.
In an interview, via Page Six, the singer of the song “Anywhere With You” expressed his amusement about the whole situation and harbored no ill feelings. He mentioned that he finds the speculation funny and believes Taylor probably feels the same way. And it’s not surprising that anyone would appreciate having their name associated with a legendary singer like Taylor Swift, especially when that person is American country music singer Jake Owen. Owen himself is a huge fan of Swift and has known her since she was just 16 years old. While Owen may not have a direct connection to Swift’s 2010 release, he has his association with her rumored date, Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers met his lookalike singer
At the 2023 American Century Celebrity Golf Championship Tournament, country music artist Jake Owen had the opportunity to meet New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers took to Instagram to share a cheerful photo of the two of them, arms around each other’s shoulders.
The resemblance between the two stars in the photo, under the sun, was remarkable. Rodgers captioned the picture with, “Great time with @jakeowenofficial today at the @accchampionship (not pictured the legendary 🐐 @annikas59).”
Rodgers was enjoying his practice round as the celebrity golf tournament took place over the weekend.
