A man has died after jumping off the Dartford Crossing bridge. The man, who is believed to be a 42 year-old from Buckinghamshire, got out of his car on the QEII bridge just after 11am yesterday (Sunday, March 9) and climbed over the safety barriers.  He threatened to jump and police negotiators spent fours hours trying to coax him away from the edge of the bridge.  At 3pm he jumped from the bridge and was taken to and Darenth Valley Hospital in Kent but later died.
