A Massachusetts woman imprisoned for more than 20 years after killing her two-year-old daughter is now pleading for her freedom. On August 15, 1988, Nancy McGeoghean, then 20 years old, allegedly strangled her two-year-old daughter, Sarah, and smothered her after a night of drinking with friends, according to court documents.  McGeoghean didn't remember a thing, according to the Boston Globe, and woke up that morning to find her daughter unresponsive and blue strapped in a car seat on the living room floor.
The big Stevenage Borough Council Fireworks take place at Millennium Lake in Fairlands Valley Park on Saturday November 5th 2016! The fireworks display is extra special this year as it is one of the final celebratory events to mark the 70th anniversary of Stevenage as a New Town. It starts at 7.30pm and you will be able to see the display from all parts of Fairlands Valley Park.  As usual, free parking is also available at the south field of Fairlands Valley Park, opposite Stevenage FC’s football stadium.
