3x World Wrestling Champ Shares His Penn State Magic With Student to PropelHim to Great Heigh
Penn State has been a wrestling powerhouse for quite a long time owing to its formidable roster and training camps. Two Penn State wrestlers recently brought gold medals home for America at the World Wrestling Championship in Belgrade. Interestingly, one of those wrestlers has now raised a new top player by sharing his ‘magic’ with him.
David Taylor is a 3x World Champion wrestler, known as the Magic Man of Penn State University (PSU). Several aspiring wrestlers are coached and mentored by the reigning Olympic champion to become unstoppable in the future. Apparently, one of his wrestlers recently registered a massive win in a high school tournament. In fact, the young wrestler dominated his opponent and secured a quick and clean victory like his coach within seconds.
Rising wrestling sensation pins down his opponent in a flash
Dalton Perry is a young wrestler who competes in the 126lbs weight class. The up-and-coming wrestling star is a student at David Taylor’s M2 Training Center in Pennsylvania. FloWrestling recently uploaded a video of the up-and-coming wrestler from Taylor’s M2 academy competing at the Super 32 Challenge. The video depicted the high school wrestler dominating his opponent right from the start, leaving no room for a comeback. The proud David Taylor shared his student’s video on his Instagram stories. The video carried the caption, “Dalton Perry with a QUICK pin to start his Super 32 off strong.”
Perry grabbed hold of his opponent and quickly switched to an advantageous position. Once he was where he needed to be, Perry successfully pinned his opponent. Taylor’s student ended the Super 32 match within just 18 seconds to secure a fabulous win. Identifying the immense talent of Perry, Penn State University brought him into its camp and committed the young wrestler.
Dalton Perry follows the magic path, commits to PSU
Penn State University committed Dalton Perry to Nittany Lions Wrestling on 27th March 2022. Perry earned his spot after consistently performing well in high school matches owing to the valuable lessons he learned from David Taylor. The future Nittany Lion has a 41-2 record in 2021-22 and a 44-6 record in the 2022-23 high school season. While Perry harbors exceptional talent and flair for wrestling, he greatly benefited from the additional magic he received from Taylor as well.
David Taylor is one of the best wrestlers ever produced by the US. While he does have unmatched wrestling capabilities, he also carries a brilliant spirit of sportsmanship. The wrestler recently credited his on-court rival turned friend, Hassan Yazdani, for his third world championship win.
The PSU Magic Man shared that the Iranian wrestler inspires and forces him to keep getting better. In fact, he also mentioned that he would have quit the sport after Tokyo had Yazdani not been there. The friendly rivals now await their next clash at the Olympics, four years after their friendly rivalry started.
